Walk for Your Neighbor and Block Party

Walk for Your Neighbor and Block Party is Sunday, October 4, 2026!

We are excited to announce that Walk for Your Neighbor will be BACK in Swannanoa this year! Please join us on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Swannanoa for a walk and block party! The walk will start at 2pm, with the block party continuing until 5pm.

Our valley is still recovering and needs remain high. All donations from the Walk will go to support our neighbors! This year, 90% of funds raised will go to SVCM’s Crisis Ministry, with 10% going to The Blessing Project.

The more we raise through this walk, the more we can tangibly share the love of Christ with neighbors in need through food, clothing, baby supplies, direct assistance with bills, and more! We hope you’ll give generously, lace up those sneakers, and come walk with us!

Ways you can join the Walk and Block Party:

  • Walk registration is now open!

  • Volunteer at the event - use the Contact Form and let us know you'd like to help!

“Where would this community be without SVCM? I shudder at the mere thought of the answer to that question, which tells me it’s a vital piece of this community, and how I know the Walk for Your Neighbor supports the best kind of neighbor any of us could ever ask for.”

Fred McCormick, The Valley Echo
