Here are some basic instructions to make your gift giving go smoothly:
If you decide to wrap the gifts, please place a sticky note with the child’s name and the item on the gift. This will ensure the parents know who gets what and what was purchased.
If you do not want to wrap the gifts, that is fine. Any donations of tape, wrapping paper, and gift bags will be gladly accepted and passed on to the parents.
If you are dropping your gifts off at the South Entrance of First Baptist Church Black Mountain located at 130 Montreat Rd., pull up to the doors under the awning and call the number on the door when you arrive. Please do not come inside, just wait in your car after you’ve called and a volunteer will assist you. Drop off anytime Monday – Friday, December 8-17 from 10-4. Please remember to drop off gifts by December 17, 2021 so we can contact the families to pick up their presents.
Please place gifts in large, black plastic trash bags. If there is more than one child in the family, you may want to put each child’s gifts in a separate bag. This helps ensure that the children don’t see their gifts. Often times our clients have no choice but to bring their children with them to pick up the gifts. Put masking tape with the parent’s last name on the black trash bag(s). If there is more than one bag, please put the total # of bags by the parent’s name.
