For more than 45 years people have giving generously to Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry, impacting thousands of lives in the process. We are so grateful for our community of individuals, churches, and businesses who make supporting their neighbors a financial priority. As a donation and volunteer based ministry, we are completely reliant and indebted to those who make our work possible. Thank you for letting us be the hands of Christ in the Swannanoa Valley.

Please see below on how to make a gift and the options for gift designation. If you're interested in making an endowment or deferred gift, please visit our Endowment page. Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization and your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

General
Where it's needed most

Undesignated gifts for general use are our top priority, so we can put them to work where we need them most. General gifts allow SVCM to respond flexibly to needs that occur at any time. This could mean helping a mother afford childcare when she has a job interview, a young man afford a crucial car repair, or gas money for an elder to get to their medical appointments.

food pantry/clothes closet

Our food pantry is available for clients to come through every 21 days with a volunteer and choose what they want from the shelves based on availability and family size. Our clothing closet has men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing as well as shoes, linens, and small household items when available.

fuel/electricity

During the winter, our biggest client expense is assisting clients with heat and power. Many spend cold days and nights in unheated or under heated homes because they cannot afford to heat their homes. We also continue to provide help with small propane tanks, K-1, wood and gasoline for generators.

Help us bring warmth and comfort to your neighbors in need.

hope for tomorrow

Hope for Tomorrow provides housing for homeless moms and their children for one year.  Supporting this program helps provide safe, stable housing for these families.
