2020 Walk for Hunger Relief Campaign
Our 2020 Walk for Hunger Relief date has been set for October 11, 2020 and we need your help. Your participation in this outreach effort will benefit the Swannanoa Valley families and individuals who are in situations of hardship and need food. We will be at First Baptist Church Black Mountain - 130 Montreat Road Sunday, October 11, between 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Stop by and drop off collected money and non-perishable food.
Our ministry will donate 5% to Bounty and Soul.  The other 5% will be given to Food Connection Asheville.
WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
This year's event will look a little different. We are not able to gather together to walk, but that does not mean you cannot participate in helping raise needed funds for our food pantry.
Ways you can help:
  • Walk wherever you like: at home, the greenway, take a hike. Get creative! Get friends and family to sponsor you.
  • Participate in our Car Parade the day of the Walk! See flyer below...
  • Start a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign.
  • Make an online donation.
  • Mail a check (*write Walk in the memo) to PO BOX 235
    Black Mountain, NC 28711.
Wear your favorite past Walk for Hunger T-shirt, Make a sign or your own shirt while you participate and tag us on facebook @svcmcares to be featured on our website!
