- East Asheville (Oteen and east of the VA Hospital)
- Swannanoa
- Black Mountain
- Montreat
- Ridgecrest
If you're seeking financial assistance with a bills, rent, or mortgage payments please bring the following:
- Most recent bill and any other documentation that would help us better understand your situation
- Photo ID
food pantry & clothing Closet Availability
- Food - Every 21 days
- Clothing - Every 60 days
- Linens and Home Goods - Every 6 months
Neighbors can receive TEFAP even if they do not meet the other eligibility requirements for other programs. TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) is American-grown food given to supplement the diets of low-income people. To participate one must provide name, household size, either receive FNS benefits or qualify by income. All information is self-declared, kept confidential, and won't be shared. No proof of ID, income or residency are required to receive TEFAP.
